The number of inmates on death rows across the nation is 3,070, a decrease from 3,088 reported on October 1, 2013.

Jurisdictions (having 10 or more inmates) with the highest percent of minorities on death row

- Delaware (78%)
- Texas (72%)
- Louisiana (70%)
- Pennsylvania (65%)
- California (65%)
- Connecticut (64%)
- Nebraska (64%)
- Arkansas (63%)

Jurisdictions with the most inmates on death row:

- California (742)
- Florida (410)
- Texas (278)
- Alabama (198)
- Pennsylvania (193)
